About Gregory Edgar, school presenter and award winning author of Revolutionary War Young Adult Historical Fiction and Adult Non-Fiction |
| | |
|
Gregory Edgar has been speaking and writing on the Revolutionary War for many years. His particular interests are the battle of Bunker Hill, battle of Bennington, and battle of Saratoga. By including characters on both sides, he strives to present a balanced view, unlike many Revolutionary War books that only show the American perspective.
He was inspired by his American ancestors who fought at the battle of Bunker Hill, and a British ancestor who fought at the battle of Bennington and again at the battle of Saratoga. He feels gratified to bring them back to life in his novels.
His school presentation "Patriots and Redcoats" focuses on
the Battle of Bunker Hill. The day before his visit, teachers read his Letter From a Son of Liberty to their classes. |
